To set up the parameters of numbering objects in groups of numbering, as well as to add/edit/delete custom groups, the Numbering system group parameters and Parameters of custom numbering groupsdialogs are used.
The dialogs are fetched with the commands Settings — Parameters... — Current Drawing/tile — Numbering — System groups and Settings — Parameters... — Current Drawing/tile — Numbering — User groups, respectively.
For quick fetching of dialogs, use the Settings... command from the button menu 
on the Parameters toolbar while working with the bar. Numbering or the Modification Mark.
Numbering system group parameters dialog
The dialog contains system groups #Change track record numbering and #Numbering of tables with a list of parameters corresponding to each group of numbering. The values of parameters can be changed by setting them manually or by selecting them from pre-defined lists. The list of parameters and order of setting their values are represented in table.

Type of number |
Numbers of objects in the group can be represented as numbers from 1 to 2 147 483 647 or arbitrarily specified characters. By default, numbers are used for numbering. At the same time, the value of parameter is 1,2,3,4,5.... To use symbols for setting numbers, click in the field for the value of parameter and select from the dropdown list the Specified charactersitem. The list of used characters is set in the Set of charactersfield. |

Number length |
The field is present in the list on digital numbering of objects (the Type of number parameter has the value 1,2,3,4,5...). Defines the minimum number of digits of the object number. Digit capacity can be set by a natural number from 1 to 10. If the digit capacity of an object is less than the set, then zeros are added before the number. If the digit capacity of an object number is greater than the set, the number remains unchanged. |

Set of characters |
The field is present in the list with the symbolic numbering of objects (the Type of number parameter has the Specified characters value). Defines which symbols and in which order will be assigned to the objects added to a group of numbering. By default, the set of characters consists of letters of the Russian alphabet. You can enter any symbol into the set. Repetition of symbols is not allowed. The total number of characters in a set is no more than 64. The number of objects in a group may exceed the number of specified characters. In this case, to number objects specified characters are used first, and then the same characters with a number, for example, A1, B1, C1,..., A2, B2, C2 etc are used. Note that during transition from symbolic numbering to the numerical the set of specified characters returns to the default view. |

Text before number |
Allows to enter a string of symbols which should be displayed before the object number. The number of characters in a line is no more than 256. |

Allows to enter a string of symbols which should be displayed after the object number. The number of characters in a line is no more than 256. |

Start from |
Allows to enter a number or an ordinal symbol number (during symbolic numbering) from which the numbering of objects in a group will start. For example, the set of characters for numbering consists of letters of the Russian alphabet A, B, C, etc. In the Start from field, enter the value 3. At the same time, numbering of objects in a group will start with the character B. On change of the value of the Start from parameters, the object numbers of the group change automatically. The exception is the case when auto-rebuilding of numbering is disabled (the Auto-rebuilding of numbering is set to nan), and the number decreases. At the same time, object numbers do not change, in the list before the first object there appear blank rows containing vacant numbers. The first empty row in the list contains the starting number. |

Auto-rebuilding of numbering |
Allows to control automatic rebuilding of group object numbers. Click the mouse in the field for the value of parameter and select the required value from the dropdown list. If the parameter is set to Yes, the numbering starts from the starting number (the starting number is set in the Start from field). On deletion of an object from the numbering group, the numbers of objects which are in the list after the one being deleted automatically change. If the parameter is set to None, the numbering may start from an arbitrary number, greater than the starting. Numbers of group objects do not change on deletion of an object, and in the list there remain rows containing vacant numbers. Note that upon transition to the Yes value the rows containing vacant numbers are deleted automatically. |
If necessary, you can return to the default values of numbering parameters. For that, select the group name and press the Reset button.
Parameters of custom numbering groups dialog
Allows to create the required necessary groups of numbering and to set up numbering parameters for each of them.
By default, the dialog does not contain any user groups.
To create a group, click the Create button. The default name and parameters of a created group will be displayed in the list of groups of the dialog. On the screen, there will be appear a dialog for setting a group name, which lets change the default name. Make the necessary changes and press the OK button. The Cancel button allows to close a dialog without changing the group name. The group name must be unique within the document. Its length is no more than 256 characters.
Subsequently, you can change the group name or delete a group.
To change the name, select it and press the <F2> key. On the screen, a dialog for setting a group name will appear. Make the required changes and press the OKbutton. The Cancel button allows to close the dialog by discarding changes to the group name.
To delete a group, select its name and press the Delete button. If a group contains objects, then on the screen a request to confirm deletion will appear. In case of deletion of a non-empty group, the link to the numbers of objects contained in that group becomes invalid.
To the user group there conforms the same set of numbering parameters as for the system group. The list of parameters and the order of setting their values are given in table Numbering parameters.

During creation of a group, default values are assigned to its parameters. To make a new group have the same parameters of numbering as the existing one, select the name for this group before creation a new one. |
On completion of the set-up, press the OKbutton. Changes in the contents of groups of numbering will be transferred to the list of groups displayed on the Numbering panel.

The list of numbering groups is displayed not only on the Numbering panel but also on the Parameter Panel when working with commands to create numbered objects (see section General Information). Also, the setup dialog can be fetched during running of the Modification Mark command. In this case, changes in the structure of groups will not be handed over to the list right after closing the dialog, but applied will be only changes to the settings of the numbering parameters of groups already existing in the list. To bring the list into compliance with all the changes made, complete running the Modification Mark command and fetch it again. |
Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.
