Scroll

KOMPAS-3D allows to print documents using any external device supported by the operating system.

The term "connected" or "available" refers to a plotter or printer listed among the available devices.

For details on how to connect a printer or plotter to your system, see the Windows OS documentation and the manuals of your output device.

To select a plotter or printer and configure its settings, do the following.

1.In the Document Print Settings or Special Document Print Settings dialog, click the Settings... button.

2.In the standard Print Settings dialog that appears, select the device in the list of available devices.

3.Set the paper size and orientation. You can select the paper size in the list of available formats supported by the printer or plotter.

4.Select the paper feed method.

5.If you need to configure various print settings (print color, print quality, etc., the available settings depend on the type of the printing device), click the Properties button to open the Device Driver system dialog.

6.When all the settings are configured, click OK.

Note that the selected device will be used by default for printing all documents during the KOMPAS-3D current session.

If you want to save the selected device and its settings for further KOMPAS-3D sessions, use one of the following methods:

configure the plotter/printer settings using the Windows Control Panel (note that this device and its settings will also be used for printing in other Windows applications),

use the printing device configurations; using configurations, you can also apply different devices and print settings for different types of documents.
