Printing device configurations |

Using printing device configurations, you can do the following:
•quickly change the selected printing device and its settings,
•set the default device and document print settings from the preview mode,
•set the default properties and print settings for various types of documents from the main application window.
A printing device configuration is a file in which print settings (paper size and feeding method, page orientation) and data printing device data are saved.
A configuration file has the pdc extension.
You can save a configuration file for any available printing device (see section Saving a Configuration). You can create several configuration files for one printing device.
A configuration file is written in a text format. If necessary, you can open and edit this file in any text editor, e. g. in Windows Notepad.
When you load a configuration, the current printing device is replaced by the printing device specified in the configuration file, and the print settings are replaced by the values written in this configuration file (see section Loading a Configuration).
You can select default configurations for printing documents from the main window and from the preview mode (see section General settings). In this case, printing devices specified in these files will be used by default.
If no default configuration file is selected or a selected file is not found, the default Windowns printer will be used by default.

You can specify another printing device and customize its parameters when setting up document printing from the main window (see section Selecting and Setting Up a Printing Device) and from the preview mode (see section Selecting and Setting Up a Printing Device). These settings are saved during the current session. |
