Save Configuration |

Each configuration is saved in a separate file. The following data are saved:
•name and settings of the current printer,
•paper size and feeding method,
•page orientation.

For your convenience, it is recommended to assign meaningful names to the configuration files: the name should indicate the name of the current printing device as well as the print settings (paper size and page orientation). You can also use the names of the configurations in the filenames: e. g. indicate the type of the documents in the name of the configuration file. |
Run the Save plotter/printer configuration... command to save the configuration.
You can save the printing device configuration using the following methods.
After you run this command, a standard dialog to save a file will appear.
Enter the filename and click Save. By default, the name of the current printing device is used as the name of the configuration file.
Method 1
1.Open the KOMPAS document.
2.Run the File – Print... or File – Special Print... command. On the screen, there will appear the Document print settings dialog box or Special print.
3.Check that the correct printing device is used and the correct settings are set (different printing devices and print settings may be used for printing different types of documents).
4.Run the File – Print Preview – Save printer/plotter configuration... command. The standard Save File dialog box will appear.
5.Enter the filename and click Save. By default, the name of the current printing device is used as the name of the configuration file.
You can change the print settings and save them in a new configuration file or overwrite an existing file if needed.
6.Click Cancel to close the print settings dialog box.
Method 2
1.Call the File — Configure preview — Plotter/printer configuration
command. The printing device setup dialog box will appear.
2.Please check that you are using the right printing device with the right settings. Then close the dialog box.
3.Run the File – Print Preview – Save printer/plotter configuration... command. The standard Save File dialog box will appear.
4.Enter the filename and click Save. By default, the name of the current printing device is used as the name of the configuration file.
Method 3
1.Run the preview mode by calling the File — Preview
command.
2.Call the File — Plotter/printer configuration
command. The printing device setup dialog box will appear.
3.Please check that you are using the right printing device with the right settings. Then close the dialog box.
4.Run the File – Plotter/printer configuration – Save printer/plotter configuration... command. The standard Save File dialog box will appear.
5.Enter the filename and click Save. By default, the name of the current printing device is used as the name of the configuration file.
