Notes on Setting Numeric Parameters of the Operation in the Fields of the Parameter Panel |
Scroll |
When entering numerical parameter values for operations in the fields of the Parameters Panel, pay attention to the following specifics.
•When you enter an expression in the field, then this expression is displayed in the field, and after you confirm the entry (press the <Enter> key) an expression and the result of its calculation are displayed.
•If the value set by the expression is changed using the mouse wheel or a defining point, then a free term is added to the expression. The value of the free term is equal to the value of the change. The sign before the absolute term depends on whether the parameter value increases or decreases.
•If the expression for calculation of the value contains a variable that is missing in the model, after you confirm the entry, this variable will take a default value, and the value of the operation parameter will be equal to the result of calculating the expression with a new variable. After the operation is created, a new variable will automatically appear in the model, and its name and default value will be displayed in the main section of the Variables toolbar.
•If only the name of the variable that is missing in the model is entered as the parameter value in the field, then after you confirm the entry, this variable will take the value which was in the field before it was entered. If the field contained the expression, then the value of a new variable will be equal to the result of calculating the expression. After the operation is created, a new variable will automatically appear in the model, and its name and value will be displayed in the main section of the Variables toolbar.
