Troubleshooting problems with displaying KOMPAS documents |

In KOMPAS-3D, the image is displayed on the screen using OpenGL.
If OpenGL is not properly supported by the hardware and software on the computer with KOMPAS-3D, there images may be flawed, and there may be errors in KOMPAS-3D operation.
Below are possible ways to solve these issues.
1.Please check if the graphic adapter matches the requirements in Table Hardware requirements.
2.Please make sure you have the latest version of the graphic driver installed. If needed, download the latest graphic driver from the manufacturer website specifying the required information:

•AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support
3.If problems persist, in KOMPAS-3D call the Options — Parameters — System — General — System management command and proceed as follows:
3.1. Decrease the antialiasing of the image: in the list Quality of Smoothening, select the entry Low.
If the problems persist, disable smoothening: select the line Without smoothing from the list.
3.2. Modify the hardware acceleration settings (may result in slower rendering): in the list Variant of draw, select the line Base. If the problems persist, select Compatible.
If the problems persist, disable the hardware acceleration: select No Hardware Acceleration.
Please note that the settings described in Step 3 take effect after KOMPAS-3D is restarted. After changing any of these settings, you need to exit and restart KOMPAS-3D. Then the changed settings will take effect.

Disabling hardware acceleration puts KOMPAS-3D into emergency mode, where rendering speed and quality are reduced, certain document display functions are disabled, and software errors may occur. If KOMPAS-3D can only function without hardware acceleration at a particular workstation, you must find and eliminate the cause for this as soon as possible, in order to get back to the normal KOMPAS-3D operation mode (i.e. with hardware acceleration enabled). |
