The Auto Continue option allows to assign automatically a number or a letter to the created coordination axis. The option is present on the Parameter Panel during creation of a coordination axis.

Auto Continue applies to Axis designation — letters or numbers entered during the initial text input.

If the previous axis has digital designation (number), then the next number is assigned to the next axis in ascending order.

If the previous axis has a letter designation, then the next ordinal is assigned to the next axis. The sequence of letters is determined by the list specified in the Coordination Axes General Settings subsection of the dialog for setting up the current document. The letters which are not specified in this list during auto-continuation are ignored.

If the previous axis has a mixed literal and digital designation, then auto-continuation works for the first character. For example, after the axis with the A1 designation, the axis B1 will be created.

If the coordination axis with an automatically assigned number or letter is removed from the document, numbers and letters of the remaining axes do not change.

To ensure that the text before and after the axis designation is preserved during the auto-continuation in the title block, enable the Remember setting option in the button menu in the header area of the Drawing Tree.

Auto Continue works only for the marks attached to coordination axes and is not applicable to marks of additional designations.
