Requirements to an Excel format file containing the table of variables

Scroll

Data stored in an Excel format file can passed to a table of variables. To make data import run correctly, the contents of the Excel file shall meet the following requirements.

1.A data sheet in the Excel workbook shall have the name VarTable. If this sheet is empty or contains incorrect data, the system message appears on the screen: Data not Found.

2.The table being imported shall not contain completely empty rows or columns. Data from the cells below the empty row and to the right of an empty column is not passed to the table of variables.

A table of variables is generated in strict compliance with the Excel format table. Columns and rows shall be located in a sequence set on the VarTable sheet. The first column and row of the table of variables will be the first filled column and row from the VarTabletable.

3.Cells of the imported table should be filled according to the following rules.

Names of variables are input into the first row starting from the second cell.

Comments to each set of parameters are input into the first column starting with the second cell.

Values of variables are input into the remaining cells. These cells may contain only real numbers.

If the table contains data of incorrect format (for example, in the cells of values of variables, characters are present), then during import the message "Data having incorrect format will be replaced with "0"" appears on the screen. This message also appears if in the table being imported there are blank or merged cells. To move modified data, press the OK button, to refuse from transfer – the Cancel button.

Such elements of formatting like size, style, and color of a font, the size of cells, etc. of the imported table are ignored.
