When building an array by concentric grid, you can specify number of instances and spacing in circular direction.

Elements for setting grid parameters for circular direction are located in the group Circular Direction in Array parameters section of Parameter Panel.

To set the parameters, do the following.

1.Set the number of instances (including the base instance) located on a grid circle. To do this, enter the required value in the Instances by Direction field. The amount set defines number of grid rays.

2.Set the spacing in circular direction. In this case spacing is the angle between adjacent array instances which are located on grid circle.

Elements for setting spacing – the group of buttons Angle between and the Angle field – appear on the Parameter Panel when number of instances is greater than one.

By default, in the button group Angle between, the Extreme Instances button is pressed, and the field Angle contains the value 360°. Array instances are placed evenly along the whole length of a circle.

If you need to place instances within a certain arc or at a certain angle one to another, do the following.

•Choose option of setting a pitch with buttons of Angle between group.

Spacing between adjacent instances is specified as the angle between adjacent instances in a circular direction (i.e., the angle between adjacent grid rays). This option is convenient when you need to place a certain number of instances at a given angle between each other.

The angle between the extreme instances — is specified between the first and last instances in the circular direction (i.e., the angle between the first and last rays of the grid). This option is convenient when you need to place a certain number of instances evenly along the arc.

•Enter the required angle value in the Angle field (the value must be less than 360°).

3.If you would like to build an array in circular direction in reverse, press the Change Direction  button located to the right of the Angle field. The building direction is shown in the graphic area with circular arrows.
