When building an array along curve you can specify number of instances and distance between the instances. To do this, use elements of Array parameters section on the Parameter Panel.
To set the number of instances in the array, enter required value in the Number of instances field. Value entered includes the base instance.
Distance between instances is set as follows.
By default instances are placed evenly along the whole curve. In this case Uniformly along curve toggle switch is set to position I (enabled).
If you need to place instances at a specified distance between each other, set the Uniformly along curve toggle switch to position 0 (disabled). Step setting controls will appear on the Parameter Toolbar.
To set the step of copying, do the following.
1.Choose option of setting a pitch with buttons of Distance between group.
Adjacent instances — the distance between corresponding points of adjacent instances in the direction of the copying trajectory is set. This option is convenient when you need to place a certain number of instances with a given spacing between each other.
Boundary points define the distance between corresponding points of the first and the last instance in the direction of the copying path. This option is convenient when you need to place certain number of instances on a fixed length segment.
2.Enter the step value in the Distance field.
