Starting KOMPAS-3D |

To start using the system, run the command KOMPAS-3D v23 from the program group KOMPAS-3D v23 in the Start menu. This group is created automatically when you install the software on the hard disk.
After starting KOMPAS-3D, the state existing at the end of the previous session (loaded documents, window size and position, etc.) is automatically restored.

If the previous session ended in a crash (power outing, etc.) and autosaving was enabled, then the previously opened documents will be restored at startup using the temporary copies. |
After the very first launch of KOMPAS-3D, you will see the main system window, which does not have any opened documents yet. The Start page will be displayed in the window. Open any document (see section Open document).

There is a possibility to launch KOMPAS-3D with simultaneous document opening, for example, by double-clicking the document file name in Windows Explorer. In this case, please keep the following in mind. After launching the system KOMPAS-3D this way, documents opened in the previous session are not loaded. Information about the documents opened this way is not saved after this session. |
