Sometimes an object that you have to select in the graphic area of the model is located closely to or overlaid upon, or hidden under other objects. At the same time, it is difficult (and sometimes even impossible) to point it out with a cursor.

To select any of the closely located objects (including those overlapping each other), use the object picking over option. Picking over is possible when the system awaits an object to be specified or selected, while the cursor "traps" multiple objects.

To select one of the hidden, coinciding or closely located objects, do the following.

1.Hover the cursor over the group of objects that contains the required object. One of the objects in the group will be highlighted.

2.Run the Browse objects command from the context menu. You can also press the keyboard shortcut <Ctrl> + <T>.

3.The Picking Over dialog appears on the screen. It contains a list of objects that are trapped by the cursor when it hovered over a group of objects.

4.Browse objects by hovering the cursor over the list items. The corresponding objects will be highlighted alternately in the graphic area.

5.After highlighting the required object, left-click on its name.

6.The picking over will be completed on the current object, and the dialog will close.

7.To exit the picking over mode without pointing to an object, press the <Esc> key.

If picking over was used to specify an object during execution of some command, the system will return to this command.
