Notes on transferring property changes between versions |

When editing properties of versions pay attention to the following notes on transferring changes to other versions.
•The procedure of transferring changes of the base part of the designation depends on the version for which such changes are made:
•for the main version – changes are transferred to all versions of the model (both dependent and independent) with the same base designations as the main version;
•for a dependent version – changes are transferred to its original version and dependent versions, if any (that is, to all versions located on the same branch of the Versions tree as the edited version); if the original version to which the changes are transferred is itself dependent, the changes are further transferred up to its original version, and so on;
•for an independent version – changes are transferred to its dependent versions, if any.
•Code changes in the version designation is transferred to all its dependent versions that have the same code value.
•The change of the number contained in the designation of version is taken into account when generating numbers automatically – the number of the newly created version will follow the greatest number in the list of versions.
•For properties Name, Material, Density, Mass (in case of manual input of the mass value), Material Substitute, Coating, Developed by, Checked by, Approved by, T. Control, N. Control, Specification Section, and properties derived from variables, changes made to the properties of one version are transferred to all its dependent versions that have the same values of the corresponding properties.
•For Author and Organization properties – changes to the version properties are transferred to all model versions.
•Changes to other properties of versions are not transferred to other versions.

The model may contain not only versions but also variants of geometric representation. Changes to the values of properties in the version are transferred to the variants created for it, as well as to the dependent versions. |
