The editing operations used for models with versions also apply to models with no versions.
Changes are made to the current model version. If this version has dependent versions, then the changes made are exported to these versions. For a dependent version, its objects are linked with the objects of the original version and are not available for editing. If necessary, you can undo the objects link and make the required changes. See section Version objects: creating, editing and deleting.
The parameters of version objects can be changed using variables. See section Using variables in versions.
A version created in a model can be used in other documents, for example, you can insert it into an assembly as a component or use it to create an associative view in a drawing. The desired version is selected when performing the operation. For example, when a component is inserted into an assembly, the version is selected from the drop-down list in the file open dialog.
