The purpose of the layer groups and the methods of working with them in the model are basically the same as in the graphic document. This section briefly describes the actions with layer groups in a model. For information on layer groups in a graphic document, see section Layer group.
Creating a layer group
Follow these steps to create a layer group.
1.Click the Create group
button in the toolbar area of the Layers Tree or call the command from the context menu of the root element. The command can also be invoked from the context menu of the selected layer or in the graphic area. After running the command, the new group icon will appear in the Layers tree.
2.Add layers to the group. To do this, select the desired layers in the Layer Tree and drag them onto the icon of the created group. In this case, the layers will not be deleted from their original location.
Assigning property of layer group
After creating the group, the state of its layers matches their current status in the Layer Tree. To set the property values of Visibility, Activity, Editing, and Projection in the drawing, as well as the color, call the corresponding command from the context menu of the group or in the graphic area.
You can configure settings for each layer in the group. To do this, use property icons in the layer line or commands in its context menu. If properties different from the group properties are set, the corresponding icon in the group row is marked with an asterisk, indicating the value is State not determined. if the group and the layers included in it have different colors, then the color displaying field in the group line becomes grey.
Renaming a group
To change the name of a layer group, select it in the Layer Tree \and click <F2> or invoke the Rename command from the context menu. The group name will be available for editing.
