Parametrical fragment – a fragment containing external variables. External variables are intended for control of parameters of the fragment being inserted without its editing "outwards".

If during insert the external variables of the parametrical fragment inserted into another document retain their names and current values,

in the course of further work with the document, you can change the values of external variables of the inserted fragment.

If a parametric fragment was inserted by reference or was embedded, then the external variables and expressions linking them to other variables are stored in the insert itself. Change of the value of a variable in one fragment insertion does not affect the values of this variable in other insertions of the same fragment.

If a parametric fragment was inserted with explosion, or was exploded after insertion, then variables matching the dimensions of objects of the fragment will be added to the Variables toolbar of the document. They automatically get the names generated following the template: "vN_name», where N is the sequence number of the variable in the list of document variables, and name is the name of the fragment variable. The current values of variables will be displayed in the Value cells. The Expression cells will remain empty.
