To create a new property in the document, in the Property Management Enable the display of the list of properties of the current document by clicking the Show Document button
. The preview window will contain a list of local properties of the document.
To add a new property, click Create property
. The Property Parameters dialog box will appear on the screen. Elements of this dialog box are descried in the table below.

Name |
The field allows you to enter a property name. If a property with this name already exists in the list, then a serial number is added to the name of a newly created property. |

Data Type |
A drop–down list allows you to select a property value type: Integer, Real, String or Logic. Availability of the dialog box controls depends on the selected value type. |

Filling from List |
This option allows you to use a list of predefined values for setting a property value. To generate a list, enable this option and click Rule for values. The option is available for all types of property value except the Logic one. |

Value |
In a drop–down list you can select a measurable entity which the property will be connected to. After selecting a measurable entity, its base measurement unit becomes the property measurement unit. The list is available for the Real or String type property value. |

Measurement Unit |
In the drop–down list you can select a property measurement unit. The list contains measurement units of the current essence to be measured. The list is available for the Real or String type property value. |

Rule for values |
Values of a property can be set within a particular value range or be selected from a predefined list (with the Filling from List option enabled). The first variant is available for Integer or Real value types and the second variant for Integer, Real or String types. When setting a value range, after you click the button, the dialog Rule for values appears (see the figure below). It contains fields for entering minimum and maximum values of a property. When setting a list of values, after you click the button, the List of Values dialog appears (see figure below). Values Field |
This field displays the rule set for entering values of the property. It cannot be edited. |

Comments |
In this field you can enter additional information about the property. It is available for all types of values. |
|
ID |
This field displays the property ID. An ID is assigned automatically and cannot be changed by the user. This field cannot be edited. |

The newly created property is added to the list of properties of the current document. Display of this property is automatically enabled.
