Setting points for surface by a point layer |
Scroll |
You can define the point for plotting the surface in the following ways:
•select individual point objects, group of points or array of points;
•select the location of the point in the graphic area using your mouse;
•enter the coordinates of the point in the Coordinates field in the Point Coordinates group of controls on the Parameter Panel;
•plot the special point, clicking the Draw point button to place a point next to the Snap Point field.
The parameters of the position of the points are displayed in the table in the Point Coordinates group of controls.
•You can plot a surface by the parameters of points saved in a data file. To do that, use the Read from File
button above the parameter table. The system interprets the numbers saved in the file as point coordinates in the Cartesian coordinate system which coincides with the surface coordinate system. This command us available immediately after you run the command, that is, if no grid points are defined.
•You can save the data from the parameters table to a file. To do that, use Save to file
button, located above the parameter table. You can save the data if at least one row in the table is not empty.
•The Cancel Setting
button above the parameter table allows you to cancel setting one or several recent points.
When you set a point object or specially plotted point, an associative link. The associative link is marked with special icons in the cells of the Connection column of the parameters table. The icons and their values are shown in the first two rows of the table of links and constraints of points.
