Specifying the guiding objects |

When Plotting a conic section surface The conical curve, located in a section, moves by resting its ends on two directrices.
The following items can be selected as guides:
•spatial curve consisting of a single contour (including a curve having subordinate objects – curves,
•broken line or its segment,
•edge,
•A sketch line with Main style or a section of this line, obtained as a result of intersection with other lines with Main style,
•chain of the above objects in any combination.
|
When defining a guide, you can use both the individual sketch lines and the entire sketch. Notes on selecting a sketch: •If a sketch contains one chain of objects, it will be selected entirely, •if the sketch contains several separate objects/chains of objects, then two of them are selected as guiding objects (i.e., both guiding fields are filled); in this case, it is possible to use other objects to extend the chains comprising the guiding objects. |
Face edges, sketch lines, and polyline segments are specified in the model graphic area. To select the entire sketch or a polyline specify this object in the Design Tree. A spatial curve can be specified both in the Design Tree and in the graphic area.
Each guide can consist of several objects that form a chain. These objects should be specified in their junction order.
The names of the objects selected as guides are displayed in the Guide 1 and Guide 2 fields on the Parameter Panel.
After you set the guiding objects in the graphic area a phantom of the surface constructed by default will appear in the graphic area.
