KOMPAS-3D allows to create any of the standard predefined size options in a graphical document. You can set multiple types of linear, angular and radial dimensions, diameter dimension, height and arc dimensions. Additionally, you can use a special dimensioning method wherein dimension type is auto-defined by the system.
Generally, you should follow these steps to set most dimensions:
1.Invoke dimensioning command for the required dimension type or auto-dimensioning command.
2.Specify object(s) to set dimensions for.
|
You can specify an object of both the current or non-current view. In the latter case, the view automatically becomes current once you specify the object. The dimension is set in this view. |
3.Configure dimension settings.
4.Configure dimension text and its position.
