KOMPAS-3D allows to create any of the standard predefined size options in a graphical document. You can set multiple types of linear, angular and radial dimensions, diameter dimension, height and arc dimensions. Additionally, you can use a special dimensioning method wherein dimension type is auto-defined by the system.

Generally, you should follow these steps to set most dimensions:

1.Invoke dimensioning command for the required dimension type or auto-dimensioning command.

2.Specify object(s) to set dimensions for.

You can specify an object of both the current or non-current view. In the latter case, the view automatically becomes current once you specify the object. The dimension is set in this view.

3.Configure dimension settings.

4.Configure dimension text and its position.
