Info variable – a variable whose value depends on other variables, dimensions, or position of the document objects.

The attribute of an info variable is the symbol in the line of this variable on Variables toolbar.

The "Info" status can be assigned to variables manually and automatically.

Manual assignment of the status is available only for user variables.

To make a user variable belong to the Info type, select a cell in the row of this variable and invoke the Info type contextual menu command. The icon near the command name in the menu will be selected. A repeated fetch of the command will return the variable to its initial state.

The "Info" status can be assigned to user variables automatically and variables of dimensions in graphic documents and sketches. Assigning a status is performed in the following cases.

•A user defined variable becomes an info variable if for calculation of its value an expression containing other variables is set. On deletion of a variable from the expression or the whole expression, the "Info" status is canceled.

•A variable of dimension gets the "Info" status if the dimension for which it was created becomes "Info". On transition of info dimension to the control status, the "Info" status of variable is canceled.

Besides, while working with models variables which are originally of "Info" type may be created. In this case, the "Info" status of a variable can’t be canceled.

Info variables in a model are created for the following objects:

•dimensions – detailing elements labeled manually,

•"measurement" objects,

•parameters of operations whose values depend on the position of model objects (these parameters include, for example, Distance of the extrusion operation during extrusion of sketch to the vertex since in this case the value of parameter depends on the position of vertex).
