Transfer of objects in versions and variants |
Scroll |
Objects available in the current version or for the option Models can be transferred to other versions (both dependent and independent) and model variants. To transfer objects, follow these steps.
1.Set the current version/variant from which you want to transfer the objects as the current version (see section Selecting the current version/variant).
2.Call the Management — Submit to Executions
command. The operation controls will appear on the Parameter Panel.
3.Create the list of the current version/variant objects that you want to transfer.
To add the required objects to the list, click them with the mouse in the Design Tree or in the graphic area of the model. Names of the selected objects will appear in the Objects field.
If required, you can remove the object from the list of transferred objects. To do this, click the
icon in the appropriate object row in the list or select the row and click Remove
button.
4.Configure the list of versions and variants receiving the selected objects. This list will be displayed in the Variations field.
|
By default, the list displays all versions and variants available in the model. If the objects of the current instance are intended to be transferred only to its dependent instances and/or variants, for convenience, you can leave only these instances and variants in the list and hide the rest of the list entries. For this purpose click Only dependent versions |
To the left of each version and variant designation in the list, there is an option. By default, all options are enabled. This means that the selected objects will be transferred to all versions and variants contained in the list. If you don’t want to transfer objects to one of the versions, disable the corresponding option.
You can use the All option located in the top row of the list to enable/disable all the options in the list. Three states are possible for it:
•enabled
— all options in the list are enabled,
•undefined
— the list contains both enabled and disabled options,
•disabled
– all options in the list are disabled.
5.To transfer objects, press the Create Object
button in the header of the Parameter Panel.
Notes on transferring objects to versions
•If the object being transferred has source objects, for example, sketches, then these objects are also transferred to the selected versions/variants.
•If the transferred object is already contained in the selected versions/variants, then this object will not be transferred to these versions/variants.
•If matings are overlaid on the transferred components of the model, then these matings are not transferred to the mirror version of the model.
