Transforming a dependent version into a variant and vice versa

Scroll

In the design process, you may need to transform dependent version of the model in variant of the geometric representation of the model and vice versa. For this, use the commands of the context menu.

For mirrored versions, as well as versions that have dependent versions and/or variants, conversion to a variant is not available.

To convert a dependent version to an option, select the required version in the Tree of versions and variants and call the Convert to Variant command from the context menu.

A new model variant with the geometry and property values of the transformed dependent execution will appear in the Tree. It will be subordinated to the version to which the dependent version belonged before the transformation. The name of the option is generated automatically and includes the word "Option" and the next number in the list of options.

Later, you can rename the variant. To do this, select it in the Execution and Variants Tree, call the Rename command from the context menu, and enter the desired text. For renaming, you can also use the <F2> key.

To convert the model variant into a dependent implementation, select the required variant in the Execution and Variants Tree and invoke the Convert to Execution command from the context menu.

A new dependent execution will appear in the tree. It will be subordinated to the version to which the transformed variant belonged. The geometry and values of all properties, except for the property Designation, will correspond to the original version. In the designation, the base part and the document code will remain, while the version number will become the next sequential number in the list of model version numbers (see section on setting the designation). Version designation and name).

"Maybe add something about the name of the version.
