Selecting the parts to keep |
Scroll |
The selection of parts of the solid (or solids) to be left is made in the process of Modify set of parts. This process starts automatically after the operation, which leads to the creation of a solid of several parts.
|
Note that changing the set of parts is possible for solids that are built in the model itself and is not possible for solids of components. That is, if the operation divides components into the parts of the solid, then all these parts remain. |
After starting the process of changing the set of parts, a Leave everything toggle switch is available on the Parameter Panel.
•If the toggle switch is in position I (enabled), all parts of the solid resulting from the operation remain in the model. Parts of the solid are shown in the graphic area as phantoms.
•If the switch is in position 0 (disabled), the Parameters panel will contain the field Keep parts with a list of parts of a solid.
To delete a part of the solid, select it in the list of parts and press the Delete button to the right of the field
or click on the desired part with the mouse in the graphical area. Specify the part in the graphic area one more time to include it in the parts which are kept.
Having completed the selection of parts of the solid, click Create object
button. If no part is left, the button is unavailable.
|
The excluded parts of the solids seem to be missing in the model: they are not displayed in the graphics area, cannot be used in the construction of other objects, are not taken into account when calculating the CMP, are not transferred to the associative model views and to the resulting files when exporting to other formats, etc. At the same time, information about excluded parts of solids is not removed from the model file, due to which the set of parts can be changed later. |
The process of changing a set of parts is also launched after editing the operation, the result of which is a solid of several parts (unless the parameters of the operation have been changed so that the whole solid is obtained).
To the right of the icon of the operation that was performed or edited before the parts selection process was launched, a special sign
is displayed in the Design Tree. In the context menu of this operation there is a Modify set of parts command. It allows to restart the process of selecting parts resulting from the operation.
