Features of changing the number of parts of the solid |

•If the operation started the process of changing the set of parts, and subsequently the number of parts changed without starting this process, a message appears on the screen about changing the number of parts. For example, a sketch containing several contours, was extruded with outward bias. In the process of changing the set of parts, the user left only some parts of the solid. Then, on the Variable Panel, the value of the variable corresponding to the slope angle was increased so that some of the parts of the solid merged. After rebuilding, all parts of the solid are displayed in the graphics area and a message appears indicating a change in the number of parts. If necessary, start the process of changing the set of parts of the solid and select the desired parts.
•The operation is marked with a special sign only after starting the process of changing the set of parts. In this regard, the following situation may arise.
Initially, the result of the operation was a whole solid. After editing any object of the model, the result of the operation was a solid of several parts. The model and the solid receive a sign of the presence of several parts, but the operation is not, because the process of changing the set of parts did not start. To start it, you must enter the edit mode of the operation, and then confirm the creation of the object.
Example 1
Extrusion of a sketch containing one contour was performed in the model. Then the sketch was edited: another contour was added to it. Immediately after exiting the sketch mode, the extrusion element in the graphics area is displayed in two parts, but the icon of the extrusion element is displayed in the Tree without a special sign.
Example 2
The model had a cut-out extrusion element that removed a certain amount of solid material but did not divide it into two parts. Then, on the Variable Panel, the value of the variable that corresponds to the extrusion depth was increased so that the cut element began to completely cross the solid. After rebuilding, the solid is displayed in the graphic area as consisting of two parts, but the icon of the cut out extrusion element is displayed in the Tree without a special sign.
