Attribute of a single graphical object. Document Attribute

Attributes are assigned using the following commands:

Management — Attributes... — for graphical object. This command is available when a graphical object is selected (to learn about object selection, see section Object selection Methods of objects selection).

Management — Document Attributes... — for the document.

To assign an attribute to a graphical object or a document, do the following.

1.Invoke the corresponding command (in order to assign an attribute to a graphical object select the object first). On the screen, there will appear the dialog for working with attributes in a compact form. The dialog contains a list of attributes of an object or the current document. If the selected object or current document does not have any attributes yet, then list of existing attributes will be empty.

2.click New type of attribute link. A right pane will appear in the dialog where you can select an attribute type.

3.To select an attribute type from a document or library, click Show Document or Show Library .

If there is no required attribute type in the list, you may create it. To do this, click Create an attribute type . Attribute type creation dialog appears. The attribute type creation procedure is described in section Creating attribute types. Newly created attribute type appears in the type list.

4.Select the chosen attribute type in the list and click Copy between the right and left panes of the dialog.

Attribute value entry dialog appears on the screen.

5.Enter a value corresponding to attribute type (a number or text string), or populate a table.

You can protect an attribute with a password against unauthorized changes. To do this, click Password. Enter any character sequence in the dialog that appears.

In the object attribute list in the left window, an icon that corresponds to the structure of the selected attribute type and its name will appear.

6.To close the object/document attribute handling dialog, click Close.
