To snap an object’s defining point to a midpoint of another curve, use the Curve midpoint command.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Specify a curve (segment, circle arc, centerline) to locate a point in the middle of it. The name of the selected object will appear in the Object field on the Parameter Panel.

2.Select a point.

When working with a drawing please note that all the parameterized objects must belong to the same view.

If the existing constraints do not prevent placing the point in the middle of the curve, then the image will be rebuilt, and after that the preset condition will be fulfilled. It is applied to the curve and to the object the point belongs to the Point in middle of curve constraint.

3.To complete the command, click Finish .

Additional features for applying constraints...

The constraint Point on the midpoint of a curve can automatically appear when building objects in parametric mode. For this, the Setting up the parametric mode In the list Parameterize , the option Snaps should be enabled. The constraint will appear when you enter an object’s characteristic point using the snap Midpoint.

Constraints are displayed in the graphic area in the constraint preview mode. A point at the middle of the curve is indicated by a symbol.
