The Knit Surfaces command is used for knitting.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Select the objects to be knitted in the graphic area. The list of objects to be knitted is displayed in the Surfaces field on the Parameter Panel. Using the buttons to the right of the field, you can change the sequence of surfaces and delete them from the list.

2.Set the maximum distance between the edges of the knitted surfaces in the Precision field on the Parameter Panel.

3.If you need to create a solid limited by knitted surfaces, enable the Create Solid setting. This setting is automatically enabled when the list of knitted surfaces contains a solid with disrupted integrity. In this case it cannot be disabled.

4.You can rename the knitting operation in the Properties section.

5.To complete the operation, click Create Object button.

If the distance between the closest edges of surfaces is less than or equal to the specified precision value, then these surfaces are merged into one, and the corresponding icon appears in the Design Tree.

6.To complete the command, click Finish .

If creation of the solid is enabled, then the created surface is checked for closure. If the result is positive, a solid limited by the resulting surface is created; if the result is negative, a solid with disrupted integrity is created.
