Inserting an aggregate of points |
Scroll |
When creating a 3D spline or a broken line, you can plot several new points between two existing points. This feature is available both in curve creation and in curve editing modes. More details on modes...
Border Points are the existing points that you use to insert a range of new points in between. Border points may be adjacent points on a curve or points between which several other points are located. In the latter case, if you specify border points, the points located between them are removed.
To add several points between two existing points, do the following.
1.Press the Insert Range of Vertices button
located above the point parameters table. The system will switch to the subprocess of creating a range of points.
2.In the graphic area, select the curve points to add a range a new points in between. Select the point with the least number first. The phantom of the first point of the inserted range will appear in the graphic area.
3.Plot all the points in sequence. The procedure is the same as when plotting curve points. Details...
Parameters of the new points are displayed in the table on the Parameter Panel. The numbers assigned to the new points correspond to their position in the range of all the points on the curve.
4.To complete creating the range of points, click Create Object button
.
The system will go back to the process of creating the curve. Parameters of the points of the range will be added to the point parameters table of the curve. They will be located between the rows containing parameters of the border points.
