Settings of dimension text location for a graphic document are configured in the Dimension Text Location dialog, invoked by the command Setup — Parameters... — Current drawing/fragment — Sizes — Position of the inscription.

A similar dialog is used to set up the location of dimensional texts for models.

The dialog allows setting default parameters of location of dimensional texts for linear and angular dimensions. The customizable parameters relate to subgroup 2.1 (see section Types of object parameters).

To select a variant of location of dimensional texts of the linear dimensions, enable the required option in theLinear dimensionsgroup, angular dimensions – in the Angular Dimensions group. The detailing charts of texts corresponding to the options are shown in the figures.

The selected variant of location of the linear dimension also determines the location of diametrical and radial dimensions.

On completion of the set-up, press the OKbutton. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.
