Update document format |

Setting up the update of detailing of text and graphic documents, styles and BOMs is performed in the Update document formatdialog. For detailed description of updates of layouts, see section Update document detailing.
The dialog appears on the screen after calling the Settings — Options... — System — General — Update document format command.

Do not update |
Selection of this option means that automatic update of detailing will not be effected. The document will be displayed with the detailing embedded in it. If necessary, you can manually update the detailing (see section Detailing rereading). |

Report library format changes |
The option enabling issuance of messages on the existence of changes between the detailing embedded into the document and the matching detailing in the *.lyt library. |

Update |
Selection of this option means that update of the detailing embedded into the document will be effected automatically on detection of differences between it and the respective detailing in the *.lyt library. Upon termination of updating the report about it is given. |

Request confirmation |
The option enabling the request to confirm update of the detailing prior to running the update. You can confirm update or give it up. On running automatic update, it is recommended to enable a request of confirmation to reduce the risk of accidental distortion of detailing of documents created using an *.lyt library that is different from the current one. |

Automatically update the specification style |
The option controlling automatic update of BOM styles embedded into BOM documents, as well as drawings and assemblies having descriptions of BOMs. By default, the option is enabled – the BOM style in the document is automatically updated on its opening. If the BOM automatic update is disabled, the specification can Update manually. |
On completion of the set-up, press the OKbutton. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.

Update of layouts (styles) of already opened documents is performed as per the setting that was active on their opening. Therefore, to make the change of update setting (for example, enabling the automatic updating) come into effect, it is necessary to close the documents and to re-open them. |
