The Document Information dialog appears on the screen after the File – Document Information... command is called. or the About Source... command from the view/fragment insertion context menu selected in the graphic area or in the Document Tree. In the first case the document contains information about the current KOMPAS document, and in the second case, about the source file of the view/fragment insert.
The dialog contains three pages:
•General information — values of the document's system properties, such as name, designation, author, creation date, file path, etc. More information about system properties...
•External References are external files referenced by this document and (or) with whom he is associated:
•Detailing libraries
•style libraries,
•attribute type libraries,
•fragment and model libraries,
•assemblies or drawings attached to the current BOM,
•documents connected to BOM objects in the current document,
•documents to BOM items in which the current document is connected,
•fragments, inserted by external reference,
•model files the associative views of which are included in the current drawing,
•drawing files linked to the current model (their list is generated in the model using the Linked drawings management command),
•part files and assemblies inserted into the model as components,
•Model files, in the context of which operations of the current part or assembly are built — assembly model files are specified, whose component is the current model, if it has contextual links with these assembly models (a contextual link between the assembly and the component is formed when editing the component in the context of this assembly, when an object (sketch, operation) is created in it using objects of the assembly or other components); if the current model is an assembly and contains components that are part of other assemblies and are contextually linked with them, then these assemblies are also specified.
•email addresses and external files that are hyperlinked.
•Attributes — a list of attribute types assigned to the current document as a whole. Attributes assigned to individual document objects are not displayed.
To switch between dialog pages, click on the links at the top.
There are following buttons at the bottom of the dialog:
• Copy – copies the contents of the current page to the clipboard,
• Save as text – saves the contents of the current page to .txt file; after pressing the button, a dialog appears in which you need to specify the folder for the file and its name.
•Edit (when viewing general information) — runs the Document Properties command. After clicking the button the dialog is closed, the system goes to the document properties editing process. For more details on editing properties in the Document properties see section Working with properties on the Parameters Panel.
• Close – exit from the dialog.
