In KOMPAS-3D it's available to create solids of the following typical form:
•parallelepiped,
•cylinder,
•sphere.
A solid is created without using base objects (sketches, curves, etc.). To build, you should specify the position of the solid in the model and its parameters. The position of a solid is determined by the position of its base point and the orientation of the coordinate system axes with the origin at this point. In the process of building, the base point of a solid with a coordinate system is displayed in the graphic area as a Placement element 
. The base plane for building the solid is the XY plane.

The elementary solids creation commands are grouped together. While executing a group command, you can switch to execution of another one using buttons of the Parameter toolbar header. You can also transfer any parameters you’ve specified between the commands of a group. More information about parameters transfer... |
Later, it's available to change the parameters of each solid individually.
The obtained solids can be used for subsequent buildings, and various editing operations can be applied to them.
