In the process of insertion The component can be controlled by its fixation. This is done using the Fix toggle switch in the Main section of the Parameter Panel.

By default, when inserting the first component the toggle switch is in the I (enabled) position by default.

Set the toggle switch to the desired position depending on whether you want to fix the component or not:

position I (enabled) means the component is fixed,

position 0 (disabled) means the component is not fixed.

The toggle switch setting is saved for insertion of the components that follow.

When you place a component using the By coordinates You can enable fixation at any time — the position of the toggle switch does not affect the ability to place the component.

When you place a component using the By matings It is necessary to first set the mating parameters and then fix the component, as with fixation enabled, the Parameter Panel does not display elements to create matings. How to fix a component placed using matings is described below.

After the component is inserted into the model, you can enable or disable its fixation using special commands. Details...

Fixation of a component that is placed using matings

If you want to place a component using the By matings and to secure it, proceed as follows.

1.When fixation is disabled, create the necessary matings.

2.Enable fixation.

Elements for creating matings will no longer be displayed, and the component will retain its position.

3.Complete the component insertion using the Create object button.

The component will be placed in the model in accordance with the specified parameters. Matings created during the insertion will be added to the Matings section of the model Design Tree.

If the added component mates with a fixed component of the model, then the matings will be excluded from the calculation.
