The purpose of checking of curvature is to find points with a minimum curvature radius (maximum curvature value) and to determine curvature at any point of the specified surface. Curvature values can be both positive (at convex parts) and negative (at concave parts). In the graphic area, points determined during checking of curvature are displayed as numeric values with vectors of normals and main directions of curvature.

You can visually check results of a surface curvature check on a curvature map. This method assigns colors to surface areas according to surface curvature values in those areas. Curvature values can be calculated for several curvature variants. You can use any of the following: Gaussian curvature, Median curvature, Maximum curvature, and curvature along the direction U(V).
