In design of certain models, ensuring high quality of surfaces is required in order to improve ergonomics, aero– and hydrodynamics, increase manufacturability, reduce wear and other properties.
Most often, modeling of such surfaces requires achieving maximum surface smoothness, avoiding defects in form of humps and caves, and ensuring successful creation of equidistant surfaces by surface thickening.
Modelling of high quality surfaces is a process comprising design, analysis and editing of curves based on which you can build and mate surfaces, which in turn are analyzed and edited until the required properties are achieved. Special importance is attributed to the option of visual and numeric analysis while editing a curve or a surface.
