Configuring properties of a layer property group. Applying the configuration |
Scroll |
Using group of layer properties allows you to form different sets of property values for the same layers and, by applying the necessary set, promptly change the setup of layers in the document.
Setting of properties
In every group of properties, you can set the visibility state, the activity state, the option of printing and color, as well as specify which of the layers will be current in case of applying the properties of this group to the layers in the document.
The state of the layers included in the newly created property group matches their current status in the document. Configure the properties of layers using items from the Document tree.
If the value of any property should be the same in all the layers of a group, set this value using the context menu command or the appropriate icon in its line. To make individual settings for each layer, use property icons in the line of the layer or its context menu command.
When setting propertiesa for layers different from the group properties, the following happens:
•if you set different values for activity, visibility or option of printing, then the appropriate icon in the group line is marked with a dot (see picture Filter of layers as an example of display of the State Not Defined attribute),
•if you select another color for a layer, the field to display color in the group line becomes grey.
After completing configuration in the group of properties for layers a set of properties assigned to layers of this group is displayed, and their actual state is not shown.

Changing activity and visibility does not affect the current layer. |
If you need to specify the current layer in a group, click the field with the number of this layer. A dot will appear under the number. If necessary, you can refuse selection of the current layer, again by clicking the field with the layer number.
Applying the configuration of properties
To apply the configuration of properties made for a group to the document, select this group in the Document tree and call the command Apply from the context menu.
The layers included in the group will be switched to the set status. If in a group the current layer was specified, then it will become current, and if not, then the current will be the same layer as that before application of the configuration.
