To create a rib in the model, you need to create sketch defining the shape of the external border of the edge. The rib is constructed from a line in the sketch to the solid. As a result a thin wall is formed, limited by the sketch line from one side and by faces of the solid from other sides. Rib examples are shown in the picture.

Rib examples
You can add ribs both to solids constructed in the model itself and to solids constructed in components.

The faces limiting an edge should belong to the same solid. |
