The position change operation allows to mode a solid or a surface to an arbitrary point of the model and rotate it to an arbitrary angle.
The operation result is a new object – a solid or a surface. Objects derived from the initial ("old") solid or surface remain associated with this solid or surface. A new solid or surface may be involved in subsequent operations (including position change operations) without any constraints.
Depending on the settings made during performing the operation, the initial object is removed from the model or remains in it. If that object was involved in matings, then in case of its removal these matings are marked as wrong. To fix the matings, edit them, re–specifying the mated or objects.
Changing the solid or surface position is performed in the coordinate system set by the user. It becomes the coordinate system for the position change operation (for the object coordinate system, see section Object coordinate system).
The solid or surface change position command is available if the model contains at least one solid or surface. Note that the position change operation is applicable only to solids and surfaces constructed in the model itself (and not in any of its components).
