As you edit the model, you can delete faces of a solid. You can delete faces with or without the integrity of the solid maintained. In the former case, the operation creates a solid with broken integrity, and in the second case — an intact solid formed by modification of faces adjacent to the deleted faces.

Examples of deleting faces with the integrity of the solid maintained:

a) the original part and the faces to delete, b) the face deletion result

The face deletion operation is applicable to both solid faces and surface faces.

To delete faces with the integrity maintained, it is recommended that the surface should be closed (i.e. it should be an extrusion, revolution, by pathand By sections, created with the enabled Close Surface option, as well as surfaces obtained as a result stitches other surfaces). If the surface is open, in some cases you won't be able to delete its faces while maintaining integrity, or the operation result will not meet your expectations.

You can delete faces without maintaining integrity regardless of whether the surface is open or closed.
