When designing certain models, analysis of surfaces and curves which these surfaces are based on is important.

In KOMPAS-3D, there are the following capabilities for visual and numerical analysis:

•graphic of curvature, curvature graphic grid,

•checking of curve and surface curvature,

•checking of curves and surfaces continuity,

•checking of surface smoothness.

Lists of analyzed curves and surfaces and settings of plots and checks can be saved in the model. The respective objects are located in the Model tree in the Diagnostics , section in the subsections:

Graphics of curvature,

Checking of curvature,

Checkings of continuity.

You can manage the visibility of the Curvature plots section and the Curvature checks section or individual objects within them (see the section Controlling visibility of individual objects), as well as exclude them from the calculation (see section Excluding objects from calculation).

If necessary, you can delete the section Diagnostics entirely, any of its subsections, or an individual object within a subsection. To that end, highlight the required section/object in the Design Tree and press the <Delete> key, or invoke the Delete command from the Edit menu or the context menu. After invoking the command, the dialog will appear on the screen, which lists all the objects to be deleted. You may confirm the deletion, or cancel it.
