Some properties of the constituent parts can be linked to the source. For example, such properties are Designation and Name. If there is a link, then the change of the property value in the source file of the constituent will be transferred to the product file. If there is no link, then the change will not be transferred, and the property of the constituent in the product may differ from the same property in the source file of the constituent.

The presence of the link with the source is indicated in the property cell on the Product composition panel using the icon , while its absence is indicated using the icon .

Clicking on the icon changes the status of the link. That is, if there was a link, then it will be interrupted (the current value in the cell remains the same), and if there was no link, then the link will be restored (the current value in the cell is replaced by the value of the property from the source).

These icons are also displayed in the group cell. Clicking on the icon in a group cell changes the status of the link to the source for all cells in the group. If there are both linked and non-linked to source group cells, then the group cell displays the icon . Clicking on it restores the link for the cells that had no such link.

For the properties Designation, Name, and Note, transfer to the source is available, i.e., replacing the property value in the source file with the current value of this property in the product file. After transferring the property to the source, a link to the source is established for this property. For more details on the values of the properties in the source...
