In a number of commands, KOMPAS-3D performs dynamic object search. It means that as the cursor runs over an object which can be specified in the given command, this object is highlighted. If several objects which can participate in running a command are close to one another, then dynamic targeting facilitates selection of the required object. A mouse click allows to specify the object which is currently highlighted.
When using dynamic targeting, it becomes possible to indicate (select) one of closely located objects (including objects overlaid upon one another). To search closely located objects, the respective commands serve in the context menu are used. These commands are available if on indication (or selection) of an object several objects get into the cursor "trap".
Enabling and disabling the dynamic targeting of objects is performed in the Dynamic Targeting of Objectsdialog fetched with the command Settings — Parameters... — System — Graphic Editor — Targeting.
The only option of the dialog allows to enable and disable dynamic targeting.
Once the required value of the option has been set, press the OK button. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.
