Simplified draw is used when the current image scale becomes too small for detailed display of the document. Setting up the parameters for simplified draw of objects on the screen is performed in the Draw Simplifieddialog fetched with the Settings — Parameters... — System — Graphic Editor — Draw Simplified command.

Controls of the dialog for setting up simplified draw

The element

Description of setting

The minimum height of a text line displayed on the screen, mm

The field allows to set the minimum symbol height for the text (in millimeters) at which they will be displayed on the screen. If text height on the screen becomes less than the set value, the caption will be drawn in rectangle size.

The value is entered to the field manually or is selected from the pre-defined list.

Image scale at which all lines are drawn as solid and no arrows are drawn

The field allows to set an image scale on reaching which the lines will be drawn in a simplified way (all the lines will be drawn as solid lines, and arrows will not be shown).

The value is entered to the field manually or is selected from the pre-defined list.

Hide objects less than 2 pixels

Enabling this option means that all geometrical objects whose size at the current scale does not exceed two pixels will be hidden. After increasing the scale or increasing the size of these objects they will appear.

Hiding small objects allows to increase the performance of operation with dense drawings, but in some cases it may require that this option be disabled. For example, if the drawing has a relatively large element of model formed by a set of fine graphic objects, then at a certain reduction scale it ceases to be displayed on the screen. That will not occur if the option of hiding objects less than 2 pixels is disabled.

Draw bounding rectangles instead of raster objects

Enabling this option means that instead of bitmap objects inserted into graphic documents their dimensional rectangles will be displayed.

Draw bounding rectangles instead of OLE objects

Enabling this option means that instead of OLE objects Their bounding rectangles will be displayed.

Enabling the draw of dimensional rectangles instead of bitmap and OLE objects allows to reduce the time taken to load documents.

Always render the fill with the set color

The enabled option means that all solid fills in documents are displayed in the colors set for them regardless of the status of layers and views on which they are positioned. If the option is disabled, then with the own colors displayed are only the solid fills lying on the current layer, and the other solid fills take on the colors of the layers or views which contain them.

Note that this setting applies printing of documents and their saving in a bitmap format. For example, if for printing a drawing selected was the color set for the view, then with the Always render the fill with the set color option enabled solid fills will be printed in the own colors, and with the option disabled – in the colors of the views in which they are placed.

Having completed setup of the draw simplified, press the OKbutton. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.
