The field at the top of the dialog contains the full name of the source document. As source document graphic document or model can be used.
If the dialog is called up when you create a reference to a variable, you can select another document as the source of the variables. Click in the field with the document name, then the standard Windows open file dialog box appears on the screen. In other cases, the source of variables is the current document. Selecting another document is not available.
In the right part of the dialog is a Variation list . If a source document is a model with versions, this list contains designations for all versions of this model. You can select the desired version from the list. If a source document contains no versions, the list is unavailable.
The variable table of the variable displays the variables available for selection. The set of variables matches source document.
If the dialog is invoked during the creation of an element along a trajectory, then only the variables of the sketch selected as the element's section are displayed in the dialog.
If a source document is a model with versions, then in the dialog a set of version variables is displayed, the designation of which is chosen from the Variation list.
To select the desired variable, select any cell in the row of this variable and click the Paste button. To cancel variable selection, press the Cancel button.
