To undo or redo the results of performed actions use the Cancel and Repeat commands. You can invoke these commands from the Edit menu or using the appropriate buttons of the File toolbar in the toolbar panel of the window.

The Undo command restores the document to the state it was in before the last action was performed.

The Repeat command, on the contrary, performs the cancelled action anew. It is available only after invoking the Undo command.

Not all commands can be undone and repeated. This applies, in particular, to the commands for filling the title block, deleting the entire contents of the document, and writing the document to disk.

Please note that all editing patterns for component parameters (for example, changing dimension types) inserted into an assembly from the library are considered to be one action. Thus, it is impossible to cancel one of the library component editing operations: the Cancel command removes the component from the assembly, and the Repeat command returns it with the parameters which it had before deleting.

Undoing the results of performed actions is possible when a command is launched. In this case only the previous results of this command are deleted. For example, if, without completing the Circle command, you create several circles, then the Cancel command will sequentially remove these circles, and the Repeat command will restore them.

When working with some commands, you can create or edit additional objects. For example, when constructing an extrusion you can create or edit a sketch, build a contour etc. The results of these actions can also be undone and repeated.

For graphic and text documents you can set up the undo process parameters: specify the number of undo steps, as well as enable or disable grouping of operations of the same type. Details: related to the setup of the graphical document, about text document detailing setting.
