Properties of sketches, 3D curves and points, planes, axes and coordinate systems |

You can change properties of a model object – sketch, 3D curve or point, plane (including coordinates plane), axis and coordinate system.
To change properties of the required object, run the Properties command (available in the object context menu in the Design Tree and in the context menu of the selected object in the graphic area of the model) and perform the required actions using the Parameter Panel controls.
Name
The name is set using the relevant field in the Main section of the Parameter Panel.
Displaying caption in the graphic area
To enable/disable the display of labels on an object in the graphic area, the Show caption switch is used. The switch is displayed in the Parameters panel when defining properties of auxiliary and coordinate planes, axes, control and connection points, local coordinate systems, and centerlines. Fitting plane dimensions:
To enable/disable plane size fitting to the model dimensions, use the Shrink to Fit switch. The switch is displayed in the Parameters panel when defining properties of coordinate and constructive planes. For more details on fitting the plane size to the model size...
Display parameters
To set display parameters of an object, use the Displaying group controls. The following parameters can be set:
•color – for all objects except for coordinate systems;
•display style – for 3D curves and points.
The color can be transferred from properties of the model or layer or set manually. The required color setting method is selected from the Method of defining (see the table). Methods of setting display parameters).
To select a color in case of manual setting, use the Color field. Clicking this field opens the color palette. In case of color transfer from a model/layer, this field is informational.
To change the object style, you can use a list of system styles:
•Style – for 3D points,
•Line Style – for 3D curves.
The Display Vertices option allows you to enable/disable display of a 3D curve vertices. When this option is enabled, the vertex style list is displayed on the Parameter Panel. In this list, you can select the style for displaying vertices.
Completing changes of properties
To complete changes of an object’s properties, click the Create object 
button on the Parameter Panel header. The model image will be redrawn according to the new properties.

The change of properties will only apply to the document where it was made. Objects in newly created documents will have default properties. |
If you want to discard the changes, click Finish 
.
