Dimensions and Designations |

On-screen display of dimensions, designation, and texts in a model is set up in the dialog Dimensions and Symbols Display. The dialog appears on the screen after calling the Settings — Parameters... — System — Model Editor — Dimensions and Designations command.
The controls of the dialog are described in Table Controls of the dialog for setting up the dimensions and designations display.

Optimize Display |
The option controls the display of dimensional captions and texts as part of conventional symbols. •If the option is enabled, it is possible to select a variant for location of dimensional texts (see below). The font height of a dimensional text and the designation text does not change on change of the model display scale. Parameters of dimensions in a sketch (length of arrows, a jut of extension line outside the dimensional line, etc.) nor change on change of scale. •If the option is disabled, then dimensional texts are displayed in the planes for labeling dimensions. The font height of a dimensional text and the designation text changes according to the change of scale of the model display. The designation text is displayed in the plane for creation of a designation regardless of the state of the Optimize Displayoption. |

Show |
A group of options that controls how dimensions of sketches and operations (see section Dimensions of sketches and operations) and connecting lines. •Enable the Dimensions of sketches and operations option to make the dimensions of sketches and operations be displayed on the screen during creation or editing. •Enable the Connecting lines option to make the connecting lines of labeled dimensions (for example, projection lines, or lines conventionally showing a nondimensionalized object) be displayed on the screen. |

Note that optimization of dimensions and designations display does not apply to printing the images of models. A model is output to print in the form as it is shown on the screen with the Optimize Display option disabled. |
To complete configuration of dimensions, designations and captions display in the model, press the OK button. Click Cancel to discard all changes to the settings and exit the dialog.
