In a graphic document, a table can have a name entered manually and/or number set automatically. The name and number are entered independently of one another. The procedure for entering a table name is described in this section; to learn about auto-numbering of items, see section Auto-numbering and auto-sorting of objects.

To set a name to the table, fetch the Name... command from the context menu of the table.

After calling the command, a dialog box for a dialog box for entering the table name . If the table, for example, an associative report, is divided into several parts, the dialog box contains text input fields, the number of which is equal to the number of tables. Enter the names for each table in the dialog box fields in order and click the Apply button in the dialog box. The dialog box will close, and the names will appear above the tables.

If automatic numbering was applied to the current table, the number (which may also include text before the number) is displayed in the dialog box. This number is a reference to the table number in the numbering group and cannot be changed. If necessary, the reference number can be deleted. This will cancel the automatic numbering of the current table.

The title text parameters and the distance from the title to the table in the current document can be configured in the following sections of setting dialog box:

for simple tables – in the dialog fetched by the Settings – Parameters – Current drawing / fragment – Table Parameters – Table name command.

for associative tables – in the dialog fetched by the Settings – Parameters – Current drawing / fragment – Report table parameters – Table name command,
