Transformation of a local part into a part/subassembly |

You can convert a local part to a regular component (part or assembly) saved in a separate file. To do this, select the desired local part in the Design Tree and call the Save as... command from the context menu. A file saving dialog will appear on the screen. The default file type – a3d or m3d – corresponds to the original type of the model – a part or an assembly. You can change the file type if required. Specify the file name, specify the folder to save the file and click Save.
The file save dialog will close, and the local part will become a regular component of the model—a part or subassembly.
You can also save a local detail in a separate file in local part edit mode.
